Dorper Wind Farm (RF) Pty Ltd was selected as a preferred bidder under round 1 of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP) run by the South African Government’s Department of Energy (DoE). Dorper Wind Farm is committed to ensuring the development of communities in which they operate through socio-economic development and enterprise development undertaken in communities within the 50km radius of the wind farm.

LifeCo’s IVC Fund

LifeCo will be launching the first Venture Capital Fund that is managed by an Impact Enterprise, with the sole intention of investing in growing Impact Enterprises. The Fund is designed in a manner that is tax-efficient, with the intention of delivering both financial and impact returns to investors. Anticipated launch July 2018.

High Impact High Potential Business Concepts

LifeCo UnLtd is a direct equity partner to high potential early stage enterprises – that are not yet ready for mainstream investment but have graduated out of the Investment Readiness Programme.

By supporting early stage, high potential, impact enterprises through effective partnership LifeCo UnLtd has an exponential positive impact on society and the economy. LifeCo UnLtd acquires an equity stake of at least 25% in early stage, emerging and/or pre-growth stage enterprises. LifeCo UnLtd then works with these enterprises to build their growth strategies, enter new markets, source funding, etc.

*An example of this partnership is Kura Africa – which aims to catalyse intergenerational systemic change in our life time – by designing and implementing sustainable solutions for industry and the economy; while humanising people and de-commoditizing the planet.
